ong Branch is an AWARD WINNING CENTER having been recognized with the 2007 BCC Best Practices Award For Customer Service,  the 2008 Long Branch Chamber of Commerce Award For Community Investment and The 2008 Concerned Citizens Coalition of Long Branch "Servant Service Award". The Long Branch Higher Education Center (LBHEC) also has the distinction of being Brookdale’s first venture into Greater Monmouth County. Over the years, LBHEC has grown into a community facility, providing specialized academic credit & non-credit courses, workforce development programs and community-based events.

rookdale’s commitment to maximizing access to college programs, facilities and services on the community level is evidenced by the transformation of LBHEC into a State-Of-The-Art Facility. Our recently renovated Center features technology enhanced classrooms, a Student Success Center and a significantly expanded schedule of credit and non-credit courses and programs.

At the Brookdale Long Branch Higher Education Center we specialize in providing educational opportunities and support services that recognize students as unique individuals.  Academic tutoring, counseling, admission, registration and financial aid are among the many services offered.

nglish As A Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), and the General Equivalency Diploma (GED), are among the non-credit programs offered at the Center. In addition, the BCC Office of Business & Community Development offers a series of cultural, educational and professional development courses and programs throughout the year. 

ommunity is an important part of our mission. LBHEC houses several community-based programs such as Displaced Homemakers, Literacy Volunteers and the Visiting Nurses Association. LBHEC also serves as host to regularly scheduled business, community and social service organization meetings and events.
