Special Events

Special Events include annual celebrations like Warm Up to Another Semester in January where we welcome back students to campus and Anti Stress Week in May where we offer the opportunity to take a break before final exams. Throughout the semester Student Life & Activities also hosts special one-time events like the Headphone Disco Dance on February 2, the V-Games & Mind Games on March 6, or Spring Fling in April, co-sponsored with the Student Life Board.

Lecture Series

Student Life & Activities works to bring lectures to campus that compliment classroom learning or discuss a topic of intrest to students and the local community. Planned lectures for Spring 2012 include:

~The Heads vs Feds Debate featuring the editor emeritus of High Times, Steve Hager, vs. the former DEA head of the New York regional office, Robert Stutman, on March 8

~Cheif scientific advisor to dating site Chemistry.com and biological anthropoligist Dr. Helen Fischer on March 22

~Pulitzer Prize winning author of Confederates in the Attic and Midnight Rising Tony Horwitz as the Jacob Needle Lecture in History on April 11.
