Interior Design Program, A.A.S.

This program provides intensive, job-focused education in order to prepare students for entry-level positions in Interior Design. Career studies courses will provide training in the following categories: manual and computer-aided drafting skills, two- and three-dimensional visualization skills, space planning, universal design concepts, lighting and building systems, codes, historical developments in the built environment, trade information and business practices.

Digital Drawing for Interior Design and Architecture Academic Credit Certificate of Achievement

Today’s graphic communications depend on computers for nearly all steps in the creative process. This certificate is a comprehensive CAD curriculum, from fundamental to complete customization, including 3D design and visualization. The courses are designed to enable graduates of Architecture and Interior Design programs along with professionals to remain current in the marketplace.

Kitchen and Bath Design Academic Credit Certificate of Achievement

This Certificate of Achievement in kitchen and bath design is intended to provide students with job specific education and skills for advancement in the kitchen and bath industry in design and/or sales and can lead to certification by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Graduates of this program will work in kitchen and bath design showrooms and will be involved in working with clients, creating room layouts, preparing accurate cost estimates, and overseeing the installation process. Some of these courses may also apply to the Interior Design Associate in Applied Science program.
