Our Student Development Specialists (counselors) are clinically trained and ready to help. Your conversations with us are confidential*. Together we will explore various coping strategies within a safe, non-judgmental space.
We can also refer you to resources in your community should you require ongoing support.
Counselors are available at the Lincroft campus, Mondays-Thursdays, from 9 am-7 pm and Fridays from 9 am-5 pm. We are located in the CAR (Center for Counseling, Admissions & Registration) building, on the 2nd floor.
From Brookdale locations at Hazlet, Freehold, Wall, Neptune and Long Branch, counselors can be reached by contacting campus security. From off-campus, Counseling can be reached by calling 732-224-2555.
But most importantly, if you are having thoughts of suicide or harming yourself or others, please call 9-1-1 immediately.
*Confidentiality can be broken if there is evidence of intent to harm one’s self or others. In this event, we will inform only those people whose assistance is needed to deal with the crisis.
