FERPA for Parents

College is a big step, not only for students, but for parents. Most Brookdale students are now adults, and have more independence than they did in high school. With this independence comes much more responsibility. As a college community, we want to work together with students and parents. As parents, you may join students in Counseling appointments and during their in-person interactions at the College (Admissions, Registration, Financial Aid, Student Account transactions) if your child invites you to participate. Please note, to comply with FERPA, we cannot release any information to anyone but the student. You can learn more about FERPA on the College Parent Central website:  What FERPA Means for You and Your College Student.
