Veterans Center

COMING SOON:  Brookdale Veterans Center

This summer, Brookdale will be opening a new Veterans Center in MAC 110.  The Center will consolidate the services that the College has been offering in one place.  It will be centrally located in the Main Academic Complex (MAC), and will provide not only an information hub, but also spaces for veterans to gather.  Staffed by Christine Forman during regular Monday-Friday business hours, the Center will offer an array of comprehensive assistance services.

These include appointments or walk-in service for:

  • Oversight of their GI Bill benefits and Veterans Administration services coordinated by VA Certifying Officials Eleanor Glazewski and Donna Bastedo;
  • Brookdale counselors and advisers available for both degree planning and short-term personal concerns
  • Career and occupational assessment and counseling, and links to assistance with job search and career development services
  • Licensed mental health professionals available to provide specific workshops, counseling groups, and interventions targeted to life transition and adjustment issues resulting from service-related disabilities
  • Connections to state and federal veterans-related programs and services
  • Doug Larsen, Licensed Associate Counselor and Marine combat veteran, will serve a Professional Counseling licensing internship in the center
