Travel with Student Life & Activities as we participate in our third annual Alternate Spring Break! Partnering with Habitat for Humanity’s Collegiate Challenge, students will travel to York, Pennsylvania for one week to work with local community members to construct new homes and repair damaged ones. Students will travel from Sunday, March 16th to Saturday, March 22nd 2014, and ALL COSTS are included in the $175 registration fee. The deadline to apply is Friday, February 14th. Hurry, as spots are limited! Students who are selected to participate will be notified the week of February 17th.

Italy – Spring 2013
Brookdalians traveled from the US to Rome, then onto Sorrento and Perugia. They took in such sights as the Island of Capri, Trevi Fountain, and the Colosseum. Optional trips to Pisa, the Vatican and Perugia’s famous chocolate factory! Ciao!
Waynesburg, Pennsylvania – Spring 2013
On the second year of our Alternate Spring Break, Student Life & Activities took 12 students to Waynesburg, PA (one hour south of Pittsburgh) to work with Habitat for Humanity again. Work included rehabilitation of an existing home and demolition of another. Click above for more info!
Anniston, Alabama – Spring 2012
Student Life & Activities’ first Alternative Spring Break trip! Partnering with Habitat for Humanity, we participated in an alternate spring break and performed construction work on new homes for deserving, hard working families.
Spain – Spring 2011
A visit to Spain’s most cosmopolitan city, Barcelona; the seaside city of Malaga and the largest city in Spain, Madrid; almost 50 campus community members explored all that Spain had to offer.
China – Spring 2010
In March 2010, 40 Brookdalians embarked on a ten day journey through China. Their trip included a stop in Shanghai, where they saw the Shanghai Museum, shopping on Nanjing Road and the Shanghai Silk Factory. From there they went to Xi’an, home to the life-size Terra-Cotta Army. The final stop was Beijing, where the group saw Tiananmen Square, The Great Wall, and the”Bird’s Nest”, home to the 2008 Summer Olympics.
