Welcome New Students!Dr. Murphy outside on campus

All of us are pleased you are attending Brookdale Community College. You are among the growing numbers of young people who understand the promise of affordable, high quality post-secondary education. Brookdale has an outstanding reputation for placing our transfer students in some of the country’s best baccalaureate colleges. You can also earn your bachelor’s through the Communiversity in Wall, our partnership with six baccalaureate institutions including Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. If you are interested in getting out to the workforce straight away, you can earn an associate degree in a career program, or certification in dozens of employment areas.

An impressive range of services are here to help you succeed at Brookdale: the most important of these will be the “First Year Experience,” guiding you through your first days and weeks on campus. You can also take advantage of Work-Study, Internships and Cooperative Education, Study Abroad, Transfer Services, and Graduate Placement.

Brookdale has many first class facilities, some of which are new in recent years: The Center for the Visual Arts, Bankier Library, Warner Student Life center, the Collins Arena, and most recently the new 24,000-squarte-foot Recreation and Fitness Center.

We encourage you to participate in all the events, activities, concerts, guest lectures and athletic programs offered by Student Life and Activities. Have some fun while you are here!

Remember, you can ask any Brookdale staff member for help along the way. We are here to help you succeed and wish you all the best!

Sincerely,

Dr. Maureen Murphy, President
