The Children’s Learning Center at Brookdale provides care for children between the ages of three months to five years of age. The hours of the Center are from 7 am to 6 pm. The Center is located adjacent to parking lot #4 on Brookdale’s main campus in Lincroft, NJ, in an 8,100-sq. ft. facility. The Center is fully licensed by the New Jersey Department of Human Services and meets all State and County requirements.
The CLC contains separate enclosed classrooms for Infants, Toddlers, Transitional, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten groups. All classrooms have outside exits and windows that open. The building has a silent security system and all appropriate fire safety requirements have been met. There are two large fenced-in playgrounds and the children have supervised access to the College’s park-like grounds.
Permanent staff members are experiences personnel with degrees in Early Childhood Education fields. Permanent and hourly staff are certified in First Aid and Infant & Toddler CPR. Student interns, under staff guidance, assist in providing developmentally appropriate activities.
The curriculum is aimed at fostering a lifelong love of learning, in tandem with a positive self image. The Infant and Toddler programs are designed to meet the individual, educational, and care needs of each child. Preschoolers enjoy age-appropriate lessons in music, movement, dramatic play, math, science, and the creative arts.
The Center is open to the Brookdale community of students, faculty, and staff, as well as to the public. Flexible scheduling is available to students, and we have part- and full-time options for the public.
