Faculty Led Study Abroad
Each year the International Education Center sponsors faculty led programs during the summer, lasting between 7-14 days.
These short trips are embedded into summer courses, taught and led by experienced Brookdale faculty. They take students outside the traditional classroom and allow them a firsthand, real-life look at the history and culture portrayed in lectures and textbooks. Students generally earn 3-4 hours of course credit or service learning credit for successful completion of the course and its related travel components.
These programs are open to both students and community members aged 18 and older. Acceptance is determined by the order in which applications are received. Since some programs fill quickly, it advisable to apply early.
Past programs include Bermuda, Brazil, Ghana, Ireland, Greece, Egypt, France, Rwanda, Italy, Mexico, Japan, Peru, Czech Republic and Austria.
