|The Money Network Discover Enabled OneCard
|Access and Brookdale Bucks
I’m a student and my OneCard has two stripes. Which one do I use?
Your Brookdale OneCard has two stripes:
- The top holographic magnetic stripe is used to access the optional Money Network® Enabled Discover OneCard, when you have authorized Brookdale to have your Financial Aid disbursements and refunds deposited to your Brookdale OneCard.
- The bottom solid stripe is used when you’re using your card’s ID function, or when using the optional Brookdale Bucks program.
If you have funds on both accounts when making a purchase on campus at any dining location or the Scroll & Pen Bookstore, please advise cashiers as to whether you will be paying with Brookdale Bucks or The Money Network® Enabled Discover OneCard.
I’m a Brookdale employee and my OneCard only has one stripe. Why is that?
Your Brookdale OneCard is used as an ID card and also for the optional Brookdale Bucks program. Both of these features are accessed from the solid black stripe on the back of your card. Employees do not have the ability to access the Money Network® Enabled Discover OneCard feature.
