Brookdale is accepting applications for a variety of scholarships available to students enrolling in Fall 2008 and Spring 2009. The following listing includes eligibility requirements.

(2) $500 Brookdale Community College Alumni Association Upper Division scholarships are available to a December or a May graduating Brookdale student who plans to continue on to a four-year college. A faculty member must nominate the student. Application deadline is March 23, 2008.
(4) $500 Brookdale Community College Alumni Association Youth Opportunity scholarships are available to an incoming Monmouth County high school graduate who plans to attend Brookdale full-time in the fall of 2008. Application deadline if May 1, 2008.
(1)T. J. Bruno Memorial Scholarship for Students with Disabilities. This Endowed Scholarship was formed by Tony and Claudia Bruno and family friends Eleanor and Roger Dolan in memory of their son who died in 1999 at the age of 34. This scholarship is available to provide tuition assistance to a Monmouth County incoming high school student who will attend Brookdale Community College in the fall 2008. Qualified applicants include those students who are classified and determined eligible for special education and related services under provision of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA). This scholarship is renewable for a second year, based on satisfactory academic record at Brookdale. Application deadline is May 1, 2008.
(1) $1000 Lisa Eichenholtz Memorial Nursing Scholarship is available to a returning, second year nursing student. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(1) AAUW scholarship is awarded through the Northern Monmouth County Branch of New Jersey, of the American Association of University Women. The scholarship ranges from $500 to $1000 and is awarded to a female, 25 years or older by April 1, 2008 who is a permanent resident of Monmouth County; a BCC student who plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree following graduation from BCC. Must have completed 24 credits by May 2008 and must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Application deadline is May 1, 2008. (1) $200 and (1) $100 Christine Fleming Memorial Scholarships are available to a Human Services student enrolled at Brookdale Community College for the spring 2008. Application deadline is December 14, 2007.
(4) $500 Harry V. Weber, Jr. Endowed Memorial Scholarships are available to Brookdale Community College second year students enrolled in nursing or political science; although students enrolled in other programs of study are also eligible. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(3) $1000 Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce Educational Foundation scholarships available to students who are going into their junior year of college; students who are returning to college after a hiatus in their formal education; and students who intend to pursue vocation education at the college level. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(1) $500 Alumni Association Juried Art Show Visual Arts Scholarship is available to a visual arts student enrolled at BCC full-time; must have completed a minimum of 24 credits at BCC; have a GPA of 2.75 or more. For an application or more information, please call 732-224-2705.
(1) $500 Professor Tom Richards Memorial Scholarship in Political Science is available to a Brookdale Community College student who has completed the Political Science Option and has been accepted at a four-year institution in pursuit of a Political Science major. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(4) $500 Wilbur Ray Scholarships are available to a currently enrolled Brookdale student who is a Monmouth County resident, ethnic minority student; evidence of financial need; and career interest in law enforcement and/or related field. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(2) $1800 Theo Gade Endowed Memorial Radio Broadcasting Scholarships are available to currently enrolled Brookdale student who is majoring in: Humanities Program A. A. Degree/Broadcasting Option or Communications Media Program A. A. S. Degree/Radio Broadcasting Option, and is a second year, full-time matriculated student registered for 12 credits in the fall 2008, one of which is RDIO 295 or RDIO299. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(2) $2000 Billy Van Zandt & Jane Milmore Scholarship For Theater Arts Students are available for a full-time Brookdale student registered for a minimum of 12 credits for the fall 2008 and is involved with a stage production at Brookdale; 1 $1000 Billy Van Zandt & Jane Milmore Scholarship is available for a part-time Brookdale student registered for 6 to 11 credits for the fall 2008 and is involved with a stage production at Brookdale. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(1) $1000 Fairways Garden Club Scholarship for a BCC student graduating in 2008 and going on to a four-year college to study: Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Environmental Science, City Planning, Land Management and/or any related subjects. Deadline for this scholarship is March 30, 2008.
(1) $500 Fairways Garden Club Scholarship for a Monmouth County High School student planning to attend Brookdale in the fall of 2008 to study: Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Environmental Science, City Planning, Land Management and/or any related subjects. (1) $750 Kristoffer P. Anderson Endowed Memorial Culinary Scholarship is available to a Brookdale Community College registered in the Culinary Education Center who has completed 24 credits and has a 3.5+GPA and has financial need. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(2) $1000 Corrine Gramas Endowed Memorial Music Scholarships are available to a currently enrolled Brookdale Community College student studying music and has earned at least 15 credit in the music option with a GPA of 2.75+. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(1) $4400 Dr. Jan Astin Scholarship is available to a Brookdale student who is enrolled in the Radiation Technology program in the fall of 2008. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(2) $1000, 2-year Buck Smith Scholarships are available to an incoming student from either Christian Brothers Academy, Henry Hudson Regional, Keansburg High School, Keyport High School, Marine Academy of Science & Technology, Mater Dei High School, Middletown High School North and South, Monmouth County Vocational, Raritan High School, Red Bank Catholic High School and St. John Vianney High School and are registered to attend Brookdale Community College in the fall 2008. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(1) $600 Officer Kenneth F. Tietjen Memorial Scholarship is available to graduates of Monmouth County High Schools and registered to attend Brookdale Community College as a Criminal Justice Major in the fall of 2008. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
(1) $1800 Eileen Lucarelli Memorial Scholarship is available to a Brookdale Community College student in the Respiratory Therapy program; has earned a minimum of 8 credits in this program; has a GPA of 2.5+ or more; has financial need. Deadline for this scholarship is February 20, 2008.
(4) scholarships up to $1000 from the New Jersey Shore Builders Scholarship are available to a current Brookdale Community College student who will be pursuing a course of study related to the real estate, or development and construction field in fall 2008. Must have completed a minimum of 15 credits, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, must live in Monmouth or Ocean Counties. Deadline for this scholarship is May 1, 2008.
