Paintings by Sid Godwin, who recently retired after 36 years as Professor of Studio Arts at Brookdale, will be on exhibit at the Center for the Visual Arts Gallery on the main campus from September 4 - October 5.
Godwin has a B. F. A. from Virginia Commonwealth University and an M. F. A. from Rutgers. He has exhibited his works, many of which are pastoral, serene views of regional areas, at such venues as the Cornwall Gallery and the Griffin McGere Gallery in New York City. Godwin's works have been purchased and are in the private collections of the Chrysler Museum and Pfizer Corporation, among others.
An opening reception for the one-man show will be held on Friday, September 7, from 4-7 PM, and is free and open to all.
