Live Haunted Theater at Brookdale
Will Feature Star of Leatherface on Select Dates
Brookdale’s annual Haunted Theater - designed, built and run by current and former students - is a delightfully tormented trip through evil creatures, ghouls and ghosts, bloody body parts, and more. The popular Haunted Theater redefines “stage fright" for its many visitors during the walking tour of a maze of blood-chilling rooms.
This year, the 10th anniversary, features a special guest appearance by R. A. Mihailoff , the actor who played Leatherface from Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3. (With paid admission* on October 26, 27 and 28.)
“Our theater students love to showcase their award-winning skills by creating the bloodiest, scariest ‘live’ haunted space. Their work is different each year, and each year is an advance on the past year - as students outdo themselves in set design, makeup, and special effects,” according to Sherri Vanderspiegel, Supervisor of the Performing Arts Center.
This year’s Haunted Theater is open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, October 19, 20, 21 and 26, 27 & 28. The more adult-friendly “Come at Your Own Risk” tours are continuous starting at 7 PM and finishing at 10:30 PM.
Admission to the evening tours is $10 general admission, $8 seniors and employees, and $5 for Brookdale students (limit 2, must show College ID).
Please note that there are “child friendly ” afternoon tours; these are on Saturday and Sunday only on October 20 and 21 and 27 and 28 and are offered between 2-4 PM. All ages tickets are $5 for these afternoon tours.
Haunted Theater is produced through the combined efforts of the Brookdale Performing Arts Center and Theater Club which is co-sponsored by the Associated Students of Brookdale Community College and the Office of Student Life and Activities.
* R.A. Mihailoff (“Leatherface”) will make a FREE APPEARANCE at the Performing Arts Center on October 25 at 11:45 AM.
