Science Mondays at Brookdale presents Photographer Herb Segars

Nature and wildlife photographer Herb Segars will give a free presentation as part of Science Mondays at Brookdale on November 26 from 6 - 9 PM in the Warner Student Life Center, main Lincroft campus.

Segars is a nature & wildlife photographer who specializes in marine subjects; his favorite photographic studio is the coastal waters of his home state of New Jersey. He has spent hundreds of hours beneath the Atlantic photographing fish, invertebrates, turtles, whales, seahorses, seals & birds. Segars has traveled from the icy waters of Maine to the warm tropical Caribbean Sea in his quest to photograph marine species of all kinds.

Segars’ presentation will focus on his latest book, “Beneath the Garden State-Exploring Aquatic New Jersey.”

The Brookdale Environmental Club’s “Science Mondays” are held on the fourth Monday of each month (except December and August) in the evening at the Warner Student Life Center. These presentations are designed to encourage both Brookdale students and the Monmouth County community to be informed and involved in county, statewide and national issues on the importance of strong environmental regulations and enforcement. Presentations are open to all and include members of the N.J. Friends of Clearwater and the Jersey Shore (Monmouth) Group of the Sierra Club.
