Brookdale’s Paul Little (Hawthorne Christian HS) was named Garden State Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week while colleague Jazmin Davis (Monmouth Regional) was named GSAC Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week, her second such honor, for the week of January 6th.
 
Little led top-ranked Brookdale to another unblemished week, averaging 17.33 points per game.  After a 15-point performance in the 86-74 win over Manor, the 6-3 freshman had a career day at division I Baltimore City Community College, exploding for 20 points in the upset win. In the week’s finale at Howard, Little played all 40 minutes, but was as prolific as ever going 8-for-10 from the floor and scoring 17.
 
Davis, who was previously awarded Player of the Week honors on November 26th, had a banner day in the Blues’ first game against Manor, recording a triple double with 24 points, 19 rebounds and 10 steals.  She followed that performance with a 22-point, 14-rebound game in a losing effort at Baltimore City.  In the week’s final game, Davis had eight points but pulled down 16 rebounds in the 61-48 win at Howard.
