Newest Brookdale Board Member Announced

Recently appointed as a trustee at Brookdale is Carl J. Guzzo, Jr., a Spring Lake attorney. Guzzo has been appointed to a three-year term by the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

Guzzo has worked as a sole-practitioner of specialty health care law in Spring Lake for more than 20 years. Prior to his law career, Guzzo managed a large medical practice where he served as Director of Medical Insurance, Contracts Management & Business Operations.

Under the Christine Todd Whitman administration, Guzzo was appointed Chair of the Health Care Administration Board, State of New Jersey.  Prior to that, he served as Chair of the National Policy Forums Medicare and Medicaid Task Force in Washington, D.C.  He has spoken extensively on the topic of health policy.

Guzzo has also served as an adjunct professor at Monmouth University, West Long Branch. He taught two M.B.A. courses, Business Law and Health Care Economics, at the Graduate School of Business Administration. He has also taught Legal Environment of Business I & II to undergraduate students at the School of Business Administration.

Guzzo is a graduate of Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University School of Law, and Monmouth University, Graduate School of Business Administration.
