New Lecture Series at Brookdale: Monmouth Moments 

The Scroll & Pen Bookstore at Brookdale is pleased to announce a new lecture series, Monmouth Moments, featuring stories and images of our home county, past and present. 

Third in the series is Karen Schnitzspahn, author of Jersey Shore Food History: Victorian Feasts to Boardwalk Treats, on Sunday, June 30, from 1-3 PM in the Warner Center. No trip to the Jersey Shore is complete without indulging in seaside food; Schnitzspahn’s overview travels from the elaborate summertime meals of the Victorian era’s big oceanfront hotels, to the fast and cheap eats of the Depression and the incursion of day visitors from points north. Copies of her book will be available for purchase and signing.
