The Monmouth Ocean Small Business Development Center (MOSBDC) will offer 20 scholarships to its Entrepreneur Certificate Program, to individuals impacted by Superstorm Sandy.

The Monmouth Ocean Small Business Development Center (MOSBDC) at Brookdale Community College is offering individuals who hail from areas impacted by Sandy the chance to be awarded one of 20 scholarships for the Entrepreneur Certificate Program.
The 33.5 hour Entrepreneur Certificate Program (ECP) offers a focused curriculum for those looking to start or grow a small business. Classes and dates are as follows:
Business Start-Up Workshop
Class Dates: August 10 from 9:00am-5pm OR Sept 17 and 19 from 6:30pm-9:30pm
Financing a Small Business
Class Dates: August 14 from 6:30pm-10:00pm OR September 21 from 9:00am-12 noon
A Business Plan
Class Dates: August 22 from 6:00pm-10:30pm OR September 21 from 12:30-4:00pm
Record Keeping For Small Businesses
Class Dates: July 31-August 1 from 6:00pm-9:00pm
Marketing Strategies for Small Businesses
Class Dates: August 28-September 25 from 6:30pm-9:30pm
All classes are located at Brookdale’s main Lincroft campus.
Applicant must come from an area in New Jersey that has been impacted by Sandy;
Individuals awarded a scholarship must attend on the class dates listed above;
To acquire the certificate, 100% attendance is required.
Scholarship award recipients will be chosen by July 25 and will be notified by either telephone or e-mail.
