Course Description
This course prepares the student for a college level calculus sequence. Problems in this course are approached from a variety of perspectives, including graphical, numerical, verbal and algebraic.
Students use calculators and their understanding of the behavior of functions to perform regression analysis on data sets. Types of functions studied include rational, inverse trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic. Parametric equations are introduced and used to define circles, ellipses, and hyperbolas.
