Free Summer Reading Events for Kids
At Brookdale Main Campus
Lincroft, NJ, July 5, 2012 –The Scroll & Pen College Store on Brookdale’s Lincroft main campus invites young readers to enjoy a variety of free summer events. The programs are appropriate for ages seven through 12 with siblings of all ages also welcome. Parents may participate in the activities or relax and enjoy the café and lounge during the program.
“We really want to encourage the kids to read and have fun. Together we will be reading a selection from the books followed by two fun and exciting activities. While the books are available for purchase, is it not necessary to do so,” said Megan Andrews, program coordinator.
The American Girl: Summer Series invites girls to bring their favorite American Girl doll and copy of the book to follow along. The reading level for the series is for fourth through sixth grades.
The Name of this Book is Secret Summer Series is appropriate for third through sixth grades readers. If the kids have a copy of the book, they are encouraged to bring it with them to read along.
