Give life, donate blood!
PTK is partnering with the Community Blood Council of New Jersey to host a blood drive at the Freehold Branch Campus. One pint of blood can be separated into three components; each going to help a different patient. RED BLOOD CELLS Have a shelf life of 42 days and are used for surgery patients and trauma victims. PLATELETS are good for 5 days and are primarily used in the treatment of cancer and leukemia victims. PLASMA can be frozen for a year and is used to treat burn or shock victims.
All donors will receive a free t-shirt. Please be sure to bring a photo ID and eat within 4 hours of donating. PTK asks that you please pre-register by signing up at freeholdblooddrive.eventbrite.com/. If you have questions, please e-mail the group at ptk@brookdalecc.edu.
