Heads Up

Each year, 180 Turning Lives Around brings the community together with the bravest women and children to tell their stories. The goal is to create awareness and empower survivors. Heads Up is the domestic violence awareness project for this year. This year "Heads" have been used to creatively share the message that violence against women and children is an extreme human rights violation and public health epidemic. It devastates the lives of millions of women and girls in this country, in peacetime and conflict, in good times and economic downturn. Domestic violence and sexual assault knows no national or cultural boundaries. The message is to be loud, clear, and strong "We hear you. We believe you. We understand. You are not alone."
