Fresh off of winning his 700th career game and capturing his 14th Region XIX title, there is much anticipation for head coach Bo Scannapieco and his squad to get the 2010 season underway. In a poll of Division III National Junior College softball programs, Brookdale was tabbed the fifth-best team heading into the 2010 season. After a rocky start, the Brookdale women’s softball team turned to teamwork and perseverance to string together an unprecedented run to bring home their 14th Region XIX title to Lincroft. The Jersey Blues started out the season 5-4 on their southern trip to Myrtle Beach, and then split their first four Region XIX contests to start off the 2009 season at 12-10. The team then went on to win an exceptional 19 of 20 games including 12 Region XIX and GSAC contests.
