The Irish Heritage Series

“Céad mile fáilte romhaibh” (A Hundred Thousand Welcomes)

For more than twenty five years, Brookdale’s Irish Heritage Series has been promoting, exploring and celebrating Irish and Irish American history, customs and culture through community educational programming.

Join the many traveling from near and far to discover and enjoy a wide array of courses ranging from Irish literature, mythology and film to modern and ancient Irish history. Experience special programs such as live stage and musical performances offered through bus trips and on-campus events.

Looking to play a more active part in the treasured traditions of Irish culture? Learn to speak the native language, play the music or dance to the rhythms.

Our Learn The Irish Language series, taught in association with Daltai na Gaeilge, offers a multi-level, year-round opportunity to learn and practice Irish in a supportive and dynamic environment.

From beginner to advanced, music instruction includes tin whistle, bodhrán and fiddle. Irish dancing instruction is offered from sets to Sean-nós.
