Basic Skills Committee
The Basic Skills Committee:
- Advises, develops and recommends all policies, procedures and regulations concerning Basic Skills to the Executive VicePresident for Educational/Student and Outreach Services or the appropriate Governance committee.
- Facilitates ongoing College discussion regarding the mission, goals, and objectives of Basic Skills.
- Evaluates and provides guidance for ongoing assessment of Basic Skills.
- Defines, investigates, and develops effectives solutions for various problems relating to basic skills that are identified by the committee and/or other areas of the college community.
- Encourages cross discipline communication in which philosophical, pedagogical, and pragmatic issues are discussed.
