September 10 - Brookdale v. Bergen Community College
Freshman forward Christine Wilhelm (Raritan) and sophomore defender Lauren Starek had two goals and freshman Jacqui Rucci (Howell) added a goal and two assists. Goalies Casey MacLean (Colts Neck) and Nadine Busnar (Matawan) combined for the 6-0 shutout.
September 12 - Brookdale v. Bucks County Community College
Freshman forward Alyssa Fiorillo of Howell scored two 1st half goals to lead Brookdale to a 6-0 win over Bucks County Community College. Christine Wilhelm, a Raritan grad, added a goal and an assist, and Nicole Taylor of Matawan assisted on 3 goals. Nadine Busnar, Matawan, and Casey MacLean, Colts Neck, combined to make 3 saves and post their 2nd straight shutout.
September 15 - Brookdale v. Gloucester County College
Freshman forward Alyssa Fiorillo of Howell scored 2 second half goals to lead Brookdale (3-1, 2-0) to a 2-1 Conference win over Gloucester County College (1-2, 0-1). The Jersey Blues outshot Road Runners 21-6, and Casey MacLean stopped 5 of 6 shots to preserve the win. Brookdale visits Middlesex county college on Thursday in another Conference match up.
September 17 - Brookdale(3-2) v. Middlesex County College(3-0)
Middlesex scored on a direct kick with 15 minutes to play to record a 1-0 win over Brookdale. Brookdales offense continued to battle taking five of the final six shots in the second half but were unable to score on its chances as Middlesex held on for the 1-0 win.The Lady Jersey Blues look to rebound their loss on Saturday Sept. 19 vs. Prince Georges (MD) D1 at 12:00.
September 19 - Brookdale(4-2) v. Prince George Community College of Maryland.
Brookdale used two 2nd half goals to score a 2-1 come from behind win over visiting Prince George CC of Maryland. Freshmen Christine Wilhelm (Raritan) tied the game 8 minutes into the half and assisted on the game winner by sophomore midfielder Leigha Czerwinski (Neptune) in the 51st minute. Goalkeeper's Casey MacLean and Nadine Busnar combined for 7 saves as the Jersey Blues outshot the Owls 39-8. Brookdale (4-2) hosts Sussex on Tuesday, come out and support your Jersey Blues.
September 24 - Brookdale(5-2-1) v. Ocean County College.
Freshmen forward Alyssa Fiorillo of Howell scored the only goal of the game with 3:20 to play as Brookdale knocked off #5 Ocean 1-0. Casey MacLean stopped 16 shots to record the 3rd shutout of the season. The Jersey blues improved to 5-2-1 overall and 3-1 in the Conference. The winning goal came off a diagonal through ball from Raritan grad Christine Wilhelm and Fiorillo rifled a left footed shot into the side netting. Jacquie Rucci, another Howell graduate, led the defense that kept the Vikings off the board. The win was Coach Frank Lawrence’s 150th of his career. “This will be memorable because we beat a great team, a big rival, and we ha to overcome a lot of adversity to do it. Every player worked hard for the entire 90 minutes, and it took that type of effort to win the game. It’s always tough to win on the road, and this win helps put us in control of our destiny for winning the conference.”
September 26 - Brookdale(5-3-1) v. Montgomery CC.
Montgomery took the lead on an own goal with 15 minutes to play and held on despite being outshot 19-6.
September 29 - Brookdale(5-4-2) v. Camden CC.
Alyssa Fiorillo(Howell) scored with 2 seconds to play to send the game into overtime. Christine Wilhelm(Raritan) shot a ball on goal and Fiorillo deflected it past the keeper as Brookdale tied #5 ranked Camden 1-1. Casey MacLean stopped 16 shots.
October 1st - Brookdale(5-4-2) v. County College Morris
Brookdale outshot the County College of Morris 23-11 but lost 3-1. Freshmen forward Christine Wilhelm brought the Jersey Blues to within 2-1 with her 7th goal of the season with 12 minutes to play.
October 3rd - Brookdale(6-4-2) v. Lackawanna
Freshmen Christine Wilhelm scored her team leading 8th goal and sophomore defender Lauren Starek, both Raritan grads, scored 1st half goals and Casey MacLean stopped 14 shots as Brookdale defeated Lackawanna 2-1. The Jersey Blues improved to 6-4-2 on the season.
October 7th - Brookdale(7-4-2) v. Manor PA
Nil Onder’s hat trick led the Jersey Blues to a 9-0 win at Manor (PA) C.C. Alyssa Fiorillo and Kaitlin McLaughlin each added two goals.
October 10th - Brookdale(7-5-2) v. Mercer CC
Brookdale droped a region match vs. Mercer CC 0-5 and hopes to rebound in their match vs. CCBC – Essex.
October 11th - Brookdale(8-5-2) v. CCBC - Essex
Freshmen forward Ang Pantoga (Freehold) scored two goals and assisted on a 3rd as Brookdale defeated the CC of Baltimore Essex Campus 4-1. Raritan grad Christine Wilhelm scored the game’s final goal and assisted on two other goals. Freshman forward Danielle Lyon scored the 1st goal of her career. Casey MacLean stopped 8 shots leading to her 5th shutout of the year.
