Academic Council
Academic Council is charged with the oversight of the establishment and discontinuance of all courses and programs and other matters relating to curricula. Its purpose is to assure adherence to College policies on academic matters and to review any actions that affect curricula.

The Steering Committee, in consultation with President Burnham, has prepared the charges for Governance Standing Committees for the academic year 2010-2011.

The Committee should:
Conduct the ongoing work of oversight of the approval process for new and revised courses and programs.
CHARGE TO ACADEMIC COUNCIL: COLLABORATION WITH HONORS COUNCIL
Committee: HONORS COUNCIL through ACADEMIC COUNCIL
Charge: COLLABORATION WITH HONORS COUNCIL
The Council should:
Collaborate with Honors Collegewide Committee's development of criteria for determining honors courses.
MEETING SCHEDULE 2010-2011
Academic Council generally meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 11:45 am – 1:15 pm in MAC 204.
