This program, designed to meet the continual demand for trained automotive technicians, emphasizes hands-on experience in testing, diagnosing and repairing automobiles. General Motors Automotive Service Educational A.A.S. Degree
The GM ASEP program, developed by Brookdale's Automotive Department in conjunction with General Motors Corporation, upgrades the professional level of incoming dealership technicians. Both credit classes and dealership work are required for this rigorous program, which also calls for certain testing and prerequisites prior to acceptance. Toyota Technical Educational Network (T TEN) A.A.S. degree
The Toyota T-TEN program, developed by Brookdale Community College in conjunction with Toyota Motor Sales, Inc., upgrades the level of incoming dealership technicians. Credit courses at Brookdale are combined with hands-on training at sponsoring Toyota dealerships. Toyota T-TEN is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). Associate in Applied Science Degree-A.A.S. Somerset Tire Service Option (STS)
Somerset Tire Service, (STS) is seeking talented and energetic people to share their commitment to automotive expertise and quality service. As one of New Jersey’s largest retail tire and auto repair center employers, they can provide excellent employment opportunities for Brookdale students. The goal of this program is to employ and develop the skills of entry-level student employees during their tenure at Brookdale Community College. After the successful completion of the 5 basic automotive courses, employment interviews will be arranged for recommended students with the STS Director of Employee Development and Recruitment.
