Add / Drop Classes

Brookdale students who are eligible to register through Webadvisor may also Add and/or Drop Classes through Webadvisor up to the first day of class, after which the student must visit the Registrar`s office in person. All other students must visit the Registrar`s office in person to add or drop classes. Add/Drop and other important dates are available by going back to the  homepage and clicking on the specific term you are working within.

Dropping Courses for Refund   Students who withdraw from all classes because of serious illness, attested to in writing by a physician, may receive a full refund of tuition and fees. The refund must be requested during the term in which the student`s illness occurs, not later on. All requests for medical refunds should be sent to the Office of Registration.

Students who withdraw from classes to enter the Armed Forces of the United States may also request a full refund of tuition and fees, by writing to the Registrar to request the refund, and enclosing a copy of the enlistment papers.

Withdrawing from a Course   A student may officially withdraw from a course after the end of the official Add/Drop period and before the mid-term. Students wishing to leave a course during the term for any reason must do so "by procedure" in the Office of Registration, and complete the process before the specific withdrawal date listed in the Master Schedule or on that term's webpage,

Students receiving financial aid should consult the Financial Aid Office (or Veterans Affairs Office if applicable) before dropping courses, since financial aid may be affected.  E-mail Financial Aid.
