IMPORTANT NOTICE: Effective July 1, 2010, the CLEP eCBT exam fee will be $77. The fee for optional essays will remain $10.
As of 7/1/2010, the following tests have been discontinued:
- Freshmen College Composition
- English Composition
- English Composition with Essay
Two new tests have been introduced:
- College Composition
- College Composition Modular (optional essay is available for this examination. Please check with your school to see if an essay is required.)
Brookdale Community College does not offer course equivalencies for the two new exams.
Both Brookdale students and individuals attending other schools may earn credit through CLEP testing at Brookdale's main campus. No appointment is necessary, but tests must be started within our CLEP service hours (check the Testing Center main webpage.)
Application is available for download at www.collegeboard.org/student/test/clep/about.html CLEP fees are $77.00 payable by check or money order payable to CLEP or by credit card. In addition, Brookdale's Testing Center charges a $30.00 proctoring fee. This fee is payable by cash, check or money order payable to BCC Testing. WE CAN NOW ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS.

Candidates who have been approved for testing accommodations should self-identify to a Testing Services Staff member so that appropriate accommodations can be given. Documentation must be provided. Accommodations that may be available are one and half time or double time, calculator, ruler, magnifying glass, Screen Magnification (ZoomText) or spell checker. In some cases, a reader or recorder may be available by appointment.

Brookdale's Tobacco-Free Policy - as of 1/1/11
Brookdale Community College promotes and enforces a tobacco-free environment at its main and branch campuses, its Sandy Hook Field Station, and its Higher Education Centers. Use of tobacco products is prohibited, except in private vehicles.
To promote health and foster a cleaner environment, Brookdale Community College prohibits the use of tobacco products at its main and branch campuses, its Sandy Hook Field Station, and its Higher Education Centers, except in private vehicles. Prohibited products include, but are not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, chewing tobacco and snuff.
This regulation is strictly enforced. Violation may result in fines.
