DSST
Both Brookdale students and individuals attending other schools may earn credit through DSST (formerly known as Dantes) testing at Brookdale's main campus. No appointment is necessary*, but tests must be started within our CLEP service hours (check the Testing Center main webpage).
DSST fees are $80.00 payable by credit card only, which will be paid when you start the test. Brookdale's Testing Center charge a $30.00 proctoring fee. This fee is payable by credit card, cash, check or money order payable to BCC Testing.
Preparation materials are available through Brookdale's Scroll and Pen Bookstore or through DSST's website at www.getcollegecredit.com.
Candidates with disabilities as prescribed by the ADA who require special accommodations should contact Brookdale's Testing Center at 732-224-2584 prior to taking the test. You will be asked to submit documentation of your disability and your request for special accommodations. We will then forward yor documentation along with your request for testing accommodations to Prometric for approval.
Please submit your request as far in advance of your requested test date as possible so that we may have the opportunity to make the necessary accommodations. Only test takers with document disabilitites are eligible for special accommodations.

Testing candidates attending colleges other than Brookdale should check with their school for course, credit and score equivalencies.
*An appointment is necessary if you are take the Principles of Public Speaking exam as we must make arrangements for a separate room for the speaking portion of the test. Please call 732-224-2584 to request the test and make an appointment.

Brookdale Community College promotes and enforces a tobacco-free environment at its main and branch campuses, its Sandy Hook Field Station, and its Higher Education Centers. Use of tobacco products is prohibited, except in private vehicles.
To promote health and foster a cleaner environment, Brookdale Community College prohibits the use of tobacco products at its main and branch campuses, its Sandy Hook Field Station, and its Higher Education Centers, except in private vehicles. Prohibited products include, but are not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, chewing tobacco and snuff.
This regulation is strictly enforced. Violation may result in fines.
