FERPA for Parents
College is a big step for the student and the parents. The student is now an adult and has a lot more responsibility and independence than they did in High School. With this independence, comes a lot more responsbility. As a College Community, we want to work together with students and parents. As parents, you may join students in Counseling appointments and during their in-person interactions at the College (Admissions, Registration, Financial Aid, Student Account transactions) if your child invites you to participate. Please note, to comply with FERPA, we cannot release any information to anyone but the student. You can learn more about FERPA in the article titled, "What FERPA Means for You and Your College Student."
