Distinguished Alumni Awards
Each year at Brookdale's Commencement Ceremony in May, the College President announces the Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Awards. The awards are presented to individuals whose professional, personal, or civic accomplishments have earned them distinction and recognition and are a credit to the Brookdale Community College community. College, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and members of the community can nominate candidates (graduates and attendees).
Winifred Wilkens '81 and Jacquie Dalton '97 were the 2010 Distinguished Alumna. Winifred enrolled at Harvard University to pursue her undergraduate degree. She graduated in 1996 from Harvard with honors earning an ALB degree (Bachelor of Liberal Arts) in Humanities. Jacquie Jacquie went on to continue her education at Northwestern University, where she graduated magna cum laude and received the George M. Sargeant Award for Departmental Excellence.
