SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR FALL 2010-SPRING 2011
2 $500 Brookdale Community College Alumni Association Upper Division Scholarships are available to a December or a May graduating Brookdale student who plans to continue on to a four-year college. A faculty member must nominate the student. Application deadline is May 3, 2010. Click here
1 $500 Honors Transfer Scholarship to support a highly qualified and motivated member of the Brookdale Honors community. Must be a full-time student at time of application, completing degree at end of Spring 2010 semester, possess a minimum GPA of 3.7, and must be a member of oneof the sponsoring organizations or a participant of the Honors Program. 4 $500 Brookdale Community College Alumni Association Youth Opportunity Scholarships are available to an incoming Monmouth County high school graduate who plans to attend Brookdale full-time in the fall of 2009. Application deadline if May 3, 2010. Click here
50 $1,000 scholarships are available to incoming full-time Brookdale freshmen who are graduating in 2010 from a High school within the OceanFirst Bank market areas and reside in the OceanFirst Bank market area (see attached application for listing of towns, school districts and other criteria). The deadline for applications is April 30, 2010.
T. J. Bruno Memorial Scholarship for Students with Disabilities. This Endowed Scholarship was formed by Tony and Claudia Bruno and family friends Eleanor and Roger Dolan in memory of their son who died in 1999 at the age of 34. This scholarship is available to provide tuition assistance to a Monmouth County incoming high school student who will attend Brookdale Community College in the fall 2010. Qualified applicants include those students who are classified and determined eligible for special education and related services under provision of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA). This scholarship is renewable for a second year, based on satisfactory academic record at Brookdale Community College. Application deadline is May 3, 2010. Click here
1 $1000 Lisa Eichenholtz Memorial Nursing Scholarship is available to a returning, second year nursing student. Deadline for this scholarship is May 3, 2010. Clickhere
The AAUW scholarship is awarded through the Northern Monmouth County Branch of New Jersey, of the American Association of University Women. The scholarship ranges from $500 to $1000 and is awarded to a female, 25 years or older by April 1, 2010 who is a permanent resident of Monmouth County; a BCC student who plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree following graduation from BCC. Must have completed 24 credits by May 2010 and must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Application deadline is May 1, 2010. Click here
Four (4) $500 Harry V. Weber, Jr. Endowed Memorial Scholarships are available to Brookdale Community College second year students enrolled in nursing or political science; although students enrolled in other programs of study are also eligible. Deadline for this scholarship is May 3, 2010. Click

3 $1000 Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce Educational Foundation Scholarships available to students who are going into their junior year of college; students who are returning to college after a hiatus in their formal education; and students who intend to pursue vocation education at the college level. Wilbur Ray Memorial Scholarships - 4 $500 scholarships are available to currently enrolled Brookdale students who are Monmouth County residents, ethnic minority students; evidence of financial need; and career interest in law enforcement and/or related field. 1 $1,000 scholarship for incoming high school students. 2 $1700 Theo Gade Endowed Memorial Radio Broadcasting Scholarships are available to currently enrolled Brookdale student who is majoring in: Humanities Program A. A. Degree/Broadcasting Option or Communications Media Program A. A. S. Degree/Radio Broadcasting Option, and is a second year, full-time matriculated student registered for 12 credits in the fall 2009, one of which is RDIO 295 or RDIO299. 2 $2000 Billy Van Zandt & Jane Milmore Scholarship For Theater Arts Students are available for a full-time Brookdale student registered for a minimum of 12 credits for the fall 2009 and is involved with a stage production at Brookdale; 1 $1000 Billy Van Zandt & Jane Milmore Scholarship is available for a part-time Brookdale student registered for 6 to 11 credits for the Fall 2010 and is involved with a stage production at Brookdale. 1 $750 Kristoffer P. Anderson Endowed Memorial Culinary Scholarship is available to a Brookdale Community College registered in the Culinary Education Center who has completed 24 credits and has a 3.5+GPA and has financial need. Deadline for this scholarship is February 12, 2010. Clickhere
2 $1000 Corrine Gramas Endowed Memorial Music Scholarships are available to a currently enrolled Brookdale Community College student studying music and has earned at least 15 credit in the music option with a GPA of 2.75+. Deadline for this scholarship is May 3, 2010. Click here
1 $4400 Dr. Jan Astin Scholarship is available to a Brookdale student who is enrolled in the Radiation Technology program in the fall of 2010.. Deadline for this scholarship is May 3, 2010.
2 $1000, 2-year Buck Smith Scholarships are available to an incoming student from either Christian Brothers Academy, Henry Hudson Regional, Keansburg High School, Keyport High School, Marine Academy of Science & Technology, Mater Dei High School, Middletown High School North and South, Monmouth County Vocational, Raritan High School, Red Bank Catholic High School and St. John Vianney High School and are registered to attend Brookdale Community College in the fall 2009 Deadline for this scholarship is May 3, 2010. 1 $500 Officer Kenneth F. Tietjen Memorial Scholarship is available to graduates of Monmouth County High Schools and registered to attend Brookdale Community College as a Criminal Justice Major in the fall of 2010. Deadline for this scholarship is May 3, 2010. Click here
One (1) $1,800 Eileen Lucarelli Memorial Scholarship is available to a Brookdale Community College student in the Respiratory Therapy program;has earned a minimum of 8 credits in this program; has a GPA of 2.5+; has financial need. Deadline for this scholarship is February 12, 2010. (CLOSED)
One (1) $500 Jockey Through Life Scholarship is available to returning student (25+ years of age) who has completed 24 credits at Brookdale; earned at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrates a financial need. Deadline for this scholarship is May 3, 2010. Click here
