T. J. Bruno Memorial Scholarship for Students with Disabilities. This Endowed Scholarship was formed by Tony and Claudia Bruno and family friends Eleanor and Roger Dolan in memory of their son who died in 1999 at the age of 34. This scholarship is available to provide tuition assistance to a Monmouth County incoming high school student who will attend Brookdale Community College in the fall 2010. Qualified applicants include those students who are classified and determined eligible for special education and related services under provision of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA). The AAUW scholarship is awarded through the Northern Monmouth County Branch of New Jersey, of the American Association of University Women. The scholarship ranges from $500 to $1000 and is awarded to a female, 25 years or older by April 1, 2010 who is a permanent resident of Monmouth County; a BCC student who plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree following graduation from BCC.
