The majority of scholarships made available by the Brookdale Foundation are awarded to students through the Brookdale Financial Aid department and total nearly $300,000. You must have completed a FAFSA in order to be considered for one of these scholarships. Please contact the Financial Aid department for more information.
There are some scholarships by application. The scholarships listed below are made available to current and incoming Brookdale students. The scholarships listed below are samples of what was available last yearand vary by criteria. An updated list for the 2012-2013 academic year will be posted in early February 2012.

Two (2) $500 Brookdale Community College Alumni Association Upper Division Scholarships are available to a December 2010 or May 2011 graduating Brookdale student who plans to continue on to a four-year college. 50 $1,000 scholarships are available to incoming full-time Brookdale freshmen who are graduating in 2011 from a High school within the OceanFirst Bank market areas and reside in the OceanFirst Bank market area (see attached application for listing of towns, school districts and other criteria). T. J. Bruno Memorial Scholarship for Students with Disabilities. This Endowed Scholarship was formed by Tony and Claudia Bruno and family friends Eleanor and Roger Dolan in memory of their son who died in 1999 at the age of 34. This scholarship is available to provide tuition assistance to a Monmouth County incoming high school student who will attend Brookdale Community College in the Fall 2011. Qualified applicants include those students who are classified and determined eligible for special education and related services under provision of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA). The AAUW scholarship is awarded through the Northern Monmouth County Branch of New Jersey, of the American Association of University Women. The scholarship ranges from $500 to $1000 and is awarded to a female, 25 years or older by April 1, 2009 who is a permanent resident of Monmouth County; a BCC student who plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree following graduation from BCC. Weber, Jr. Endowed Memorial Scholarships are available to Brookdale Community College second year students enrolled in nursing or political science; although students enrolled in other programs of study are also eligible. Two (2) $1000, 2-year Buck Smith Scholarships are available to an incoming student from either Christian Brothers Academy, Henry Hudson Regional, Keansburg High School, Keyport High School, Marine Academy of Science & Technology, Mater Dei High School, Middletown High School North and South, Monmouth County Vocational, Raritan High School, Red Bank Catholic High School and St. John Vianney High School and are registered to attend Brookdale Community College in the Fall 2011. One (1) $1800 Eileen Lucarelli Memorial Scholarship is available to a Brookdale Community College student in the Respiratory Therapy program; has earned a minimum of 8 credits in this program; has a GPA of 2.5+ or more; has financial need. We encourage all students and parents to complete the FAFSA (see Financial Aid department page for more information) in order to be considered for scholarships provided by the Foundation totaling nearly $300,000. These scholarships are funded by the Brookdale Foundation and the Brookdale Alumni Association and awarded through the Financial Aid Department for the next academic year.
They are awarded to students who are determined not to be eligible for Financial Aid in the form of grants. So, in order to be considered for one of these scholarships, you must have filed a FAFSA. Go to the Brookdale Financial Aid department website for more information.
