2012 Brookdale Scholarship Ball To Honor John Lloyd, President of Meridian Health and Investors Bank
The 2012 Brookdale Scholarship Ball will honor John Lloyd, President, Meridian Health and Investors Bank for their service and commitment to the community and higher education. The Scholarship Ball will be held at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club, Farmingdale on Friday, May 11, 2012. Attendees will be treated to a great event with live music, gourmet food, auctions galore and more.
Event Co-chairs are Brookdale Foundation Trustees Karen Escobedo, New Jersey Natural Gas and Candy Langan-Sattenspiel, Sattenpsiel Surgical Arts Pavilion. Escobedo and Langan are both Brookdale alumna. Committee members included various Monmouth County business people and Foundation Trustees. Invitations will be mailed in February.
The 2012 Scholarship Recognition Reception
The Foundation and Alumni Scholarship Recogntion Reception will be held on March 15, 20121 at 4:30 PM in the Warner Student Life Center. It's a festive occassion with a standing room only crowd of scholarship students, their parents, donors, Brookdale Foundation Trustees and Alumni Directors. This annual event celebrates the students who received scholarships and the donors who made the scholarships possible. This year nearly 500 Brookdale students will receive scholarships totaling over $300,000. the scholarships are made possible by the community's outstanding support of the "Building Minds, Building Futures" annual scholarship fund.
32nd Annual Education Open Golf Outing
The Foundation's 32nd Annual Educational Open Golf Tournament was held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club in Farmingdale, NJ. Long considered one of the premiere charity golf outings in the area, the Education Open provides a first-class experience for all golfers and guests. This year, the outing netted over $65,000 to support the Building Minds, Building Futures scholarship fund and support the Foundation's mission of helping students achieve their dream of earning a college degree. The scholarship fund provides scholarships to working middle class students who don't receive Federal or state grants to help fund their education. Last year the Brookdale Foundation provided over $345,000 in scholarships to local students. With your help, this year our goal is to provide $350,000 in scholarships.
