The NJ Coastal Communiversity, led by Brookdale, is an alliance of colleges and universities in New Jersey offering selected bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees and graduate certificates right here in Monmouth County.

Classes and services are offered at Brookdale's Wall Higher Education Center, at Brookdale's Western Monmouth Branch Campus in Freehold, and at Brookdale’s Lincroft Campus.
Brookdale Community College is collaborating with participating New Jersey Community Colleges and New Jersey City University (NJCU) to offer New Pathways to Teaching in New Jersey (NPTNJ). The program provides an opportunity for people who did not complete a traditional teacher preparation program to become teachers. The 200-hour program starts in early summer and January.
Eligibility Requirements
Bachelor`s degree - or higher
2.75 minimum GPA in an undergraduate or graduate degree (sorry, no exceptions)
Have a passing Praxis II exam score or hold a Certificate of Eligibility (CE) in the subject area you plan to teach.
