TestsAccuplacer (Basic Skills) Admission TestStudents entering Brookdale may be required to take the Accuplacer exam which will assist our counselors (Student Development Specialists) in placing students in the appropriate level of Math, English and in some cases, Reading classes. Preview the test at http://www.testprepreview.com The test is also available at Brookdale`s Western Monmouth Branch Campus at Freehold and its four Higher Education Centers, located in Neptune (Eastern Monmouth), Bayshore (Northern Monmouth), Long Branch and Wall Township. Call the Branch Campus or Center in advance to make an appointment. Or stop in anytime during an Express Registration Day event - held in June, July, August and January at all locations. Remember you MUST have your Brookdale Student ID card in order to take a course test in the Testing Center. CLEP TestingNo appointment is necessary, however, tests must be started within our CLEP service hours (check the Testing Center main webpage.) Application is available for download at www.collegeboard.org/student/test/clep/about.html CLEP fees are $70.00 payable by check or money order payable to CLEP or by credit card. In addition, Brookdale's Testing Center charges a $30.00 proctoring fee. This fee is payable by cash, check or money order payable to BCC Testing. WE CAN NOW ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of 7/1/08 CLEP fees are going up to $70.00 and Brookdale's fees are going up to $30.00 per exam. Candidates who have been approved for testing accommodations should self-identify to a Testing Services Staff member so that appropriate accommodations can be given. Documentation must be provided. Accommodations that may be available are one and half time or double time, calculator, ruler, magnifying glass, Screen Magnification (ZoomText) or spell checker.
