Information for Parents
College is a big step for the student and the parents. The student is now an adult and has a lot more responsibility and independence than they did in High School. With this independence, comes a lot more responsbility. As Student Development Specialists (Counselors) and Parents, we have to work together to provide students with the tools they will need for life after Brookdale. Parents are welcome to join the appointments if the student invites them to participate. Please note, to comply with FERPA, we cannot release any information to anyone but the student. You can learn more about FERPA in the article titled, "What FERPA Means for You and Your College Student."

The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence. ~ Denis Waitley
