This program features short and long form documentaries produced by a consortium of New Jersey cable access stations. Features also include award winning documentaries like produced by Brookdale Television.

 

Arts  in Monmouth County (Fri. 10:00a, 4:00p,10:00p, 4:00a)

Learn about the arts and culture scene in Monnouth County. “Arts and Monmouth County” is a co-production of the Monmouth County Arts Council and Brookdale Television. Interviews with creators of the visual arts and performing arts talk about importance and the beauty of their craft and how it serves to enhance the quality of life in Monmouth County.

Enjoy musical performances from local established and emerging singer songwriters and bands. Some programs capture burgeoning performances of artists that have gone on to become famed entertainers such as Robert Randolph and the Family Band. Other named acts include Southside Johnny and Brookdale’s own Doug Clarke and Joe Accursco.

Watch Brookdale championship men's and women's teams, compete to win  in baseball, soccer, tennis, basketball and lacrosse.

Presented by Brookdale’s Performing Arts Center productions feature great performances by Brookdale students, faculty and members of the Monmouth County community.

Join 12th Legislative District Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande and her guests as they discuss the important people, places and issues shaping the direction and policies of Monmouth County and the greater New Jersey area.

 

 

Driving Jersey (Tues 9:00a,3:00p & 9:00p)

“Driving Jersey”  (www.DrivingJersey.com) is an introspection that goes beyond the stereotypes and connects with everyday, extraordinary folks of the Garden State.  Directors Steve Rogers and Ryan Bott travel around Jersey, meeting individuals and getting into their lives, loves, occupations and preoccupations.  The work is a fun and loose anthropological, socio-archival project, a fair and accurate portrayal of contemporary culture in New Jersey.

This series features a wide range of topics—from animal rights, health and human services, and poverty to the environment, education, and spirituality. Delivered in short, digestible bites, explore films appeal to viewers of all ages, from children learning about other cultures for the first time to adults looking for a fresh perspective on the world around them.

Lively 30 min series featuring NJ Art scene along with cultural events, social connections, entertainment and thought provoking interviews.  Hosted by journalist, filmmaker  and Brookdale Community College adjunct Gilda Rogers.

 

 

Future Talk (Thurs.,8:30a,2:30p,8:30p,2:30a)

Future Talk examines the global impact of technology, both the promises and the perils, and tries to see where the new technology is leading us. The goal is to involve the public in seeking solutions to humanity’s pressing problems without creating new and bigger problems in the process

 

 

Gardening Rhythms (Tuesdays 8:30a, 2:30p, 8:30p) 

A comprehensive urban gardening show  embracing the wisdom of traditional farming systems, modern scientific, permaculture and technological knowledge. 

 

Hot and Cold (Mon. 9:00a, 3:00p& 9:00p) is about building and renovating houses as well as updating with new types of insulation and alternative energy.

 

Independent Eye (Thurs. 9:30a, 3:30p,9:30p 3:30a)

This program is a provocative collection of short and long form feature films on the small screen. This series offers a showcase of undiscovered independent producers from all over the country. Their films offer a unique, sometimes comical, sometimes sobering perspective of the world we live in.

11th District Assemblyman Sean Kean and influential members of the Jersey Shore community discuss hot topics of the day concerning the past, present and future of the Shore communities.

Enlightening series offers information and self management tools for caregivers and the loved ones they care for.  Topics include nutrition, fitness, medications, holistic treatments; financial, self management tools and information better manage care from the home.

This EMMY award winning series examines NASA’s past present and future to show how NASA has improved our everyday lives. Learn how NASA has helped to develop and inspire technological innovation in space and bring it down to earth.

Brings tales of the low-carbon lifestyle and how adapters benefit from its health and cost saving effects. The show offers inspirational stories of early adopters of the green lifestyle along with practical strategies and frugal tips for saving energy and reducing waste, all while we have some fun too.

A spin off series of "Visiting Writers Series", "Night Readings" is a lecture series, recorded on the Brookdale campus in Lincroft, NJ. Noted poets, novelists and journalists give voice to their written words  and give the audience insights into their creative works and lives.

 

 

90.5 the NIGHT/Night Vision(Fri,8:30a,2:31p,8:30p,2:30a)

See what you hear from 90.5 the Night. This is a unique series of interviews with noted singer songwriters visiting the studios of 90.5 the Night , Brookdale Public Radio. Artist like Quincy Mumford, New Riders of the Purple Sage, The Spring Standards, and many more  give fans an intimate discussion of their music, life and loves. “Night Visions” is hosted by 90.5 the Night’s Jeff Raspe and Rich Robinson.

Hosted by Monmouth County attorney Armen McOmber, "Outlook Monmouth" is a unbiased view of the policies and laws governing our educational, economic and political systems in the state and Monmouth County.

A television series featuring people creating resilient communities for a more sustainable, lower-energy future. Programs range from permaculture farms to electric bikes, ecovillages to car-sharing, emergency preparedness to careers for the future economy.

 

 

 

Roadtrip Nation (Tues. 7:30a,1:30p,7:30p,1:30a)

A  television series and grassroots movement that encourages young people to hit the road in search of interviews with leaders who have defined their own distinct routes through life. The search for eclectic individuals who have resisted pressures to conform and who have become successful by following their own paths is what drives “Roadtrip Nation”.

“ThinkTalk”  is career TV for college students. “ThinkTalk” creates dynamic, interactive programming where students interview high profile professionals about their career paths. Guests include actors, authors, CEO's, directors, entrepreneurs, journalists and politicians.

 

 

Songwriters in the Park (Wed, Sun 10:00a, 4:00p,10:00p),

Presented by 90.5 the Night Brookdale Public Radio is a unique collection of the summer concert series recorded live at  Riverside Park in Red Bank. Some performances include artists like  “Sons of William”, Pat Guadagno, and Jill Hennesey. Recapture relaxed summer months on the Navesink River

 

State Matters (Thurs. 12:30p,6:30p. 12:30a, 6:30a)

Hosted by Assemblywoman Jennifer Beck “State Matters” is a series that discuss the socio- economic, education and environmental issues debated in Trenton but effect the lifestyles and livelihoods of Monmouth County residents.

 

Travel Television (Tues & Sat 10:00a, 4:00p,10:00p & 4:00a)

This half-hour program will explore changes in technology, regulations, and products and services designed with the traveler in mind. It also focuses on “voluntourism” and presents stories of those people volunteering their time and efforts to rebuild the gulf coast. 

 

Triumphant Spirit (Fri. 7:30a, 1:30p,7:30p,1:31a)

Brookdale’s Community College’s Professor and retired colonel Paul Zigo host this awe inspiring 34 part series documenting the memories and experiences of local area veterans who served in World War II. “Triumphant Spirit” is an original Brookdale Television production and be purchased for limited use by educational access channels.

Join  Brookdale faculty members Laura McCullough and Suzanne Parker  as they interview with some of the country’s most noted , poets, novelists and journalists.

Brookdale Television’s originally produced, award-winning series, “Witness to Holocaust” brings you first-hand accounts of those who witnessed and survived one of the worst genocides in human history.
