Professional Development Committee Website
Procedure for Professional Development Funding:
1. Familiarize yourself with this year’s College-wide Priorities.
2. If your professional development activity is related to the priorities, fill out the Professional Development Application.
3. Submit your application to Barbara Tozzi or Elaine Olaoye.
4. Within 3 weeks, you will receive a Conditions of Acceptance letter detailing the amount funded. Please see below for an explanation of funding levels.
5. Return the Acceptance/Rejection Form to Barbara or Elaine.
6. Professional development awards do not generally cover expenses when overnight travel is involved, so be sure to apply for division funding as well. Funds have been cut but money is available to you there as well.
How to Determine Level of Funding:
Maximum funding of $550:
- Conference Presenters
- Faculty holding a leadership position at the conference
- Applications that fit one or more of the college-wide priorities (to be determined by sub-committee)
Partial funding of $250:
- Applications that are discipline-specific and partially fit one or more of the college-wide priorities (to be determined by sub-committee)
PLEASE NOTE: For divisions sending 6 or more to the same conference, each faculty member will be awarded $100 UNLESS you fit the one of the maximum funding criteria.
