New Jersey Career And Technical Education Alternate Route Teacher Program
2013 Summer Institute for CTE Teachers
July 23rd, 24th and 25th
The Summer Institute for CTE Teachers sponsored by the NJDOE Office of Career Technical and Education, will be held at the Brookdale Community College Main Campus, located in Lincroft, NJ.
Summer Institute dates are Tuesday, July 23rd, Wednesday, July 24th and Thursday, July 25th. All Workshops are held from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
A different CTE workshop topic is offered each day of the Summer Institute. You may register for as many workshops as you would like.
Enrollment is free but space is limited so registration will be done on a first come, first serve basis.

The New Jersey Department of Education provides an alternate route to certification for people with diverse educational, training and employment backgrounds interested in becoming Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers.
Career and Technical Education, formerly designated vocational-technical education programs, are secondary school programs that prepare students for training, employment, or postsecondary education in newly developed occupations and existing professions.
Individuals who have a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree and two years employment experience, or who have four years employment experience may be candidates for this program.
