Welcome to the Students for Global Citizenship Club website!

 

Students for Global Citizenship is an official student club at Brookdale Community College.  Members are active in events that bring about awareness of global issues to the Brookdale Community. We meet on Thursdays in MAN 106 at 11:30 a.m.   Come join us!

Club Description

Students for Global Citizenship works to promote awareness about global issues and actively engages in activism and volunteerism to improve the lives of others and promote peace and human rights.  Members engage in educational programming and awareness campaigns and projects of volunteerism.

Club Purpose

The purpose of the Students for Global Citizenship is to promote awareness and understanding of global issues by unifying and empowering students to take action to improve the lives of others and to promote peace and human rights. 

  • Create educational opportunities (such as speakers, workshops, panels, and action groups) to increase awareness and lead to activism and leadership,
  • Provide resources to enable students to be actively involved in community service projects, and
  • Collaborate with International Education Center and the Center for Holocaust, Human Rights and Genocide Education and other community organizations.
