Online Teaching Certification

The TLC offers an online teaching certification course for faculty members who will be teaching fully online courses. The program runs over a seven week period, presented in the hyrbid format. During the course faculty work together online to learn the basics and best practices for being an online instructor.

Among the topics covered are:

• Facilitating Online Discussions
• Organizing course material
• Communicating effectively with students online
• Using content that goes beyond text to enhance student learning
• Basics of using the ANGEL system for your course
• Brookdale's Online Course Quality Rubric

Spring 2009: Initial meeting section A: Tuesday, 2/3 at 5:30P OR Thursday, 2/5, 4:30P
Spring 2009: Initial meeting section B: Wednesday, 3/25, 4:30P OR Thursday, 3/26, 4:30P
Summer 2009: Initial meeting Monday, June 1, 3:00 p.m. - course runs through August 3rd
