September 1st - Brookdale v. Burlington
Two goals by Joe Parella assisted by Cristhian Gonzalez and Jorge Rivera lead Brookdale to victory in the opening game.
September 10th - Brookdale v. Bergen
The Brookdale men's soccer team defeated Bergen County College, 1-0, as Howell's Joe Parella scored the game-winning goal with six minutes left in the second half. Matawan's Bob Dailey made 10 saves against 13shots for the shutout.
September 15th - Brookdale v. Gloucester
Brookdale beat Gloucester (6 -1) behind a hat trick by Diego Huerta. Joe Parella, Augusto Dragonetti and Ryan Spill closed out the scoring.
September 17th - Brookdale v. Middlesex
Diego Huerta broke a scoreless tie in the 73rd minute to lead the Brookdale Men's soccer team(4-0-1) to a victory over Middlesex College(3-4) on Thursday. Shawn Gilpin managed to squeeze a pass out of the crowded scrum in front of the net to feed Huerta. Huerta one timed a shot to the upper-left corner of the net for his fifth goal of the season.
September 19th - Brookdale v. Prince George's CC
Joe Parella's goal that was assisted by Shawn Gilpen gave the Jersey Blues a 1-0 double overtime win.
September 22nd - Brookdale v. Sussex
Joe Parella out of Howell High School lead Brookdale Community College (6-0-2) men’s soccer team to a 5-1 victory over Sussex County College (3-4) with two goals. The first of Parella’s goals came in the third minute on an assist from Moises Iniquez and scored again in the 72nd minute on a Shawn Gilpin assist.
September 26th - Brookdale v. USMAPS
BCC defeated West Point Prep behind Joe Perella’s 3 goals and Christian Gonzalez following up with 2 more.
September 29th - Brookdale v. Camden CC
Joe Parell(Howell) scored a pair of goals and Moises Iniquez(Manasquan) had two assists to lead the Brookdale Community College men’s soccer team to a 3-1 victory Tuesday over host Camden CC. After a scoreless first half, Parella and Iniquez teamed up to give Brookdale (8-1-2) a 1-0 lead at 53:00. Iniquez then assisted on a goal by Frank Clemente(Marlboro) to make it 2-0, and Parella added his second goal to give the Jersey Blues a 3-0 lead.
October 5th - Brookdale v. Passaic
BCC rallied from being down twice to defeat Passaic 5-2 on the road in a physical contest with Brookdale coming out on top and keeping their composure.
October 7th - Brookdale v. Manor (PA)
BCC crushed Manor CC 9-1 behind 3 goals by Joe Parella.
October 10th - Brookdale v. Union CC
BCC and Union battled to a 2-2 draw.
October 17th - Brookdale v. Raritan Valley
BCC defeated Raritan Valley 5-1 behind Joe Parella’s Hat Trick. Parella broke Mike Lonigro’s career goal record of 43. He now has 22 goals for the season and 44 for his career.
October 25th - Brookdale v. Middlesex CC (Region Quarterfinals)
Diego Huerta (Ocean), Joe Parella (Howell) and Brendan Lawson (St. John Vianney) converted penalty kicks and Bob Dailey (Matawan) stopped three penalty kicks as the Jersey Blues (15-1-3) defeated the Colts on a 3-0 advantage in the penalty kicks after a 3-3 tie on Sunday in a National Junior College Athletic Association Region 19 Division III Tournament quarterfinal. Parell had a goal and an assist. Huerta and Ajusto Dragonetti both scored goals.
