GAME REPORTS Tuesday, November 27, 2007 BROOKDALE v. MIDDLESEX This was the first conference game of the season for the Jersey Blues. Sophomores Olivia Triano and Sasha Fabrizio recorded double-doubles, with 24 points / 10 rebounds by Triano, and 12 points / 14 rebounds by Fabrizio. Freshman point guard Kitura Jones led the Blues with tenacious defense, 13 points and 6 rebounds. Saturday, December 1, 2007 BROOKDALE v. BERGEN The Jersey Blues Women's Basketball Team set the pace for the conference game against Bergen right from the start. Freshman Kitora Jones had 24 points, 3 assists and 6 steals, while sophomore Olivia Triano had 17 points, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Sophomore Sasha Fabrizio had 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 steals. This win brings the Blues to a 3-2 overall record, 2-0 in the conference. Tuesday, December 4, 2007 BROOKDALE v. ATLANTIC CAPE The Jersey Blues Women's Basketball Team scored early in the game on steals and kept the lead the whole game against Atlantic Cape County College. Freshman Kitora Jones scored 27 points, pulled down 9 rebounds, dished 3 assists and had 3 steals. Sophomore Keisha Taylor had 14 points and 7 robounds. Sophomore Erica Hoffman has 6 points, 6 assists, 6 steals and 3 rebounds. Tuesday, December 11, 2007 BROOKDALE v. GLOUCESTER The Women's Jersey Blues Basketball Team remained undefeated in the conference defeating rival Gloucester County College 64-59. Keisha Taylor led the way with 15 points and 6 steals. Kitora Jones (18 points / 10 rebounds) and Sasha Fabrizio (10 points / 13 rebounds) each recorded another double-double game. The Blues next face Ocean on December 13th at 5pm. Tuesday, December 18, 2007 BROOKDALE v. CUMBERLAND The Brookdale Women's Basketball Team recorded a 63-56 win over Cumberland County College to improve their record to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference. Sasha Fabrizio and Olivia Triano scored double-doubles; Fabrizio had 11 points and 16 rebounds, while Triano scored 19 points and grabbes 11 rebounds. Kitora Jones also came up big with 12 points. Saturday, January 5, 2008 BROOKDALE v. SUSSEX Brookdale Women's Basketball record damt to 9-1 overall amd 7-0 in the conference with their win over Sussex County College. Freshman Kitora Jones had a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomores Sasha Fabrizio (9 points, 13 rebounds), Olivia Triano (9 points, 10 rebounds), Keisha Taylor (10 points, 6 assists) and Lisa James (11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks) rounded out the offensive threat. Saturday, January 12, 2008 BROOKDALE v. CC MORRIS With poised teamwork, the BCC Women upended Division II County College of Morris 75-40. Freshman Kitora Jones led all scorers with 15 points, 6 steals, and 4 rebounds. Sophomores Keisha Taylor (14 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals) and Sasha Fabrizio (14 points, 17 rebounds, 2 assists) recorded double-doubles. Sophomore Erica Hoffman (14 points, 3 steals, 4 rebounds) added to the double digit scoring. Tuesday, February 5, 2008 BROOKDALE v. CUMBERLAND Maria LoCicero broke out of her Freshman shell to lead all scorers with 21 points and seal her first double-double with 10 rebounds, while contributing 5 assists and 3 steals. Sophomore Jamie Biddle scored 15 points while pulling down 6 rebounds. Rounding out the double digits was sophomore Keshia Taylor with 13 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. Tuesday, February 12, 2008 BROOKDALE v. CAMDEN BCC's Women's Basketball Team clinched the Garden State Athletic Conference for the second year in a row by beating rival Camden County College 80-61. A total team effort was led by Freshman Maria LoCicero with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Freshman Kitora Jones added 19 points and 7 rebounds. Sophomore Keshia Taylor had a well-rounded effort with 9 points, 6 assists and 7 rebounds. |
