Program Policies
1. A grade of “C” or better is required in all prerequisite courses.
2. A grade of “C” or better is required in all courses to be counted toward graduation
3. Guidelines for professional presentations must be followed
4. Students are required to attend all classes for the full duration of the allotted time. Students who consistently arrive
late or leave early may be counted as absent.
5. More than three unexcused absences will result in a lowered grade for the course.
6. Students must attend required lab hours.
7. There is no eating or drinking except for water allowed in the interior design studio.
Students having more than three unexcused absences are subject to a lowered grade. Students will not miss more than 15 minutes of a class. This includes arriving late or leaving early. If a student misses more than 15 minutes of a class he/she will be considered absent.
Art Department Grading Policy
A student enrolled in an Art Department program must maintain a grade of C or better for all required courses in that program. A grade of D or F cannot be used to fulfill program requirements therefore, the course must be repeated.
Grading for All Art Department Courses
A student must earn a grade of C or better in a prerequisite course in order to register for a course at the next level.

Additional Time Requirements: Studio Courses
Students are required to spend 2 ½ hours per week in assisted lab for Studio Courses. Schedules of assisted lab times and a sign in sheet will be posted in the studio. Students are permitted to come into the studio and work unassisted any time the studio is available.

Brookdale provides support services for all students. It is the students' responsibility to provide the instructor with the documented forms.
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
Academic integrity is submitting one's own work, and properly acknowledging the work of others. Any violation of this principle constitutes academic dishonesty and is liable to result in disciplinary action. Forms of academic dishonesty include:
- Plagiarism- submitting another's work, in whole or inpart, as one's own. This includes an examination, a computer program. a laboratory report, or a written assignment.
- Facilitating Academic Dishonesty - Helping another commit an act of dishonesty, such as substituting for an examination or completing an assignment for someone else.
- Cheating - Using or attempting to use unauthorized materials on an examination or assignment, such as using unauthorized texts or notes or improperly obtaining, or attempting to obtain, copies of an examination or answers to an examination.
- Illegal System Access - Altering , transmitting, or permitting unauthorized individuals access to your account or an attempt to alter or destroy system files on any server or computer. This also includes altering, transmitting or attempting to alter or transmit academic information or records by unauthorized individuals.
Students that participate in dishonest activities:
- will receive a 0 for that project, examination, or assignment
- may be given a grade of F for the course
- may be reported to the Dean for disciplinary action
