Welcome to the wonderful world of Nursing!
The Nursing Student Organization is dedicated to fostering the professional development of the nursing students at Brookdale Community College through participation in school sponsored events and group activities, fun and educational field trips, community outreach projects, and visits by guest speakers from various facets of this dimensional career choice.
Through these opportunities presented by such a unique organization such as NSO, Brookdale Nursing students have the advantage of developing leadership skills, provide service to their profession and community and mentoring fellow colleagues through workshops and targeted group skill practice in the lab. The NSO is also instrumental in the planning and volunteering process for the intimate ceremony dedicated to Nursing students at the time of graduation celebrating the close-knit ties and mutual sense of hard work and determination that has been shared amongst a group with a common goal.
The NSO serves the profession of nursing by recruiting students to participate in the National Student Nurses’ Association convention which is held at different locations across the country each year and allows those delegates whom are chosen to experience resources available to them while networking with other students, educators, and recruiters promoting their success at Brookdale and furthering their professional careers in the future. The next convention will be held in Orlando, Florida.
To a great semester and future in nursing.
Yours Truly,
Ryan Hazley
