Medical Terminology

- Medical terminology. Medical terminology skills are important for all nursing students, but especially important if English is your second language; you have not previously worked in a health care setting; or you have not previously taken a medical terminology course.
Strategies for Success:
- Take a medical terminology course either through Brookdale (HESC 105) or condensed course through community development or some other source.
- Work or volunteer in a health care setting.
- Purchase the text/workbook for HESC 105 (available in the Brookdale bookstore) and
complete the exercises in the book.
